Misdiagnosis: Autism

Every child who presents with autism symptoms should have an investigation into PANS and PANDAS.

Many children are on multiple psychiatric medications when in actual fact the underlying cause is not being treated.

  • Anxiety
  • Moody or depressed
  • Oppositional
  • Tics
  • Inflexible
  • Behavioural Regression
  • Sudden deterioration in school performance
  • Motor or sensory abnormalities
